Sure, US restrictions are working, 7-10 months delay in shipping a product is a very long time in the fast fast changing AI space. In a typical Zuckerberg-like way, move fast and break things seems to be the default mode for US based AI startups. Throw a lot of money at it, be first to market with something, raise a lot of money, iterate quickly and win market share. This model took Facebook nearly 5 years to get to profitability and 8 years to get to IPO, but ignoring the fact that it was the market leader by far after displacing MySpace. There is no clear winner for AI yet. What they are breaking quickly now are their profitability models which will take longer than their products to fix.
