It’s easy to be confused. In 2019, OpenAI transitioned from non-profit to for-profit. No, they are not open and we have to wait for someone to come up with something better than #GPT3 and take them out. #AI
Not saying these in a bad way. But it started with very honourable goal to keep AI open to all. To keep AI industry honest, Deepmind in particular, etc. But ended up being just another big blackbox.
