New #iOS10 Photos is not like #GooglePhotos, it doesn’t upload all photos to Google for face recognition, it does so locally on the device.
Previous to the #GooglePhotos announcement, only photos over 2048×2048 and videos over 15 minutes count toward the storage limit anyway.
Google did this deliberately? #GooglePhotos have a maximum resolution of 4920 x 3264 pixels, perfect for Nexus. #SamsungS6 is 5312 x 2988!
