Generally speaking, the same maths behind #cryptography is used for both authentication and #encryption. Can't easily just ban one of them.

Not saying that #Xiaomi shouldn't try to be an #iPhoneKiller, but the company ending up killing the #iPod was #Apple, can learn from that.
